Although parents and present and future pupils are clearly the major stakeholders, the decision on the site for the new Madras College will affect, to varying degrees, the lives of everyone in this town. The Community Council has issued a newsletter that sets out some of the pros and cons of the various possible sites, and raises some of the possible knock-on effects on the town.
The Education & Children's Services Committee of Fife Council has endorsed a proposal to re-build the school on the existing Kilrymont site.
Keir Bloomer, commisioned by the Muir Group, which has considerable land-holdings on the southern hillside of the town, has also produced a report on the issue.
