Become a Friend of Craigtoun Park

Application form

St Andrews Community Council is working closely with Fife Council in an attempt to save Craigtoun Park for future generations. In these times of financial constraints it is proving impossible for Fife Council to maintain Craigtoun Park in its present condition.

The Community Council’s vision is to set up The Craigtoun Community Trust that will eventually take responsibility for the maintenance and development of the park. The Trust will seek funding for the refurbishment of the park and devise a business plan that will ensure the park achieves financial sustainability.

The Community Council is therefore seeking the support of individuals, clubs and businesses that are committed to making Craigtoun Park a successful and sustainable leisure facility that will benefit the local community and attract visitors to the town.

As an initial step, the Community Council will establish a Friends of Craigtoun Park. This group will become a pool of resources consisting of interested individuals who have relevant knowledge and experience to help set up the trust and possibly become trustees in the future. The Community Council will therefore be carrying out a survey encouraging membership of Friends of Craigtoun Park and seeking suggestions regarding the type of facilities and entertainment that would be most popular at Craigtoun.
